How Depop fees work

Depop removed its 10% selling fee for US sellers. The only standard fee is payment processing: 3.3% of the total the buyer pays (item, shipping and sales tax) plus $0.45 per transaction.

If you Boost a listing and it sells through the boost, Depop adds a 12% fee on the item price. If you didn't use a Depop shipping label, the boost fee also applies to the shipping you charged.

With a Depop shipping label, the buyer's shipping payment covers the label, so it isn't income for you. If you ship yourself, the buyer's shipping is paid to you and you buy the label.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Depop take from a sale?

For US sellers, Depop charges no selling fee. Payment processing is 3.3% + $0.45 of the total the buyer pays. On a $40 item with $7 shipping and 7% sales tax, that's about $2.11.

Does Depop charge fees on shipping?

The payment processing fee is charged on the full amount the buyer pays, including shipping and sales tax. The 12% Boost fee covers shipping only if you didn't use a Depop shipping label.

Do buyers pay a fee on Depop?

Yes. Depop charges US buyers a marketplace fee, which doesn't come out of your earnings.
