How Whatnot fees work

Whatnot charges two fees on every sale. Commission is a percentage of the item's final price: 8% in most categories, 5% for Electronics and 4% for Coins & Money.

Payment processing is 2.9% of the total order value (item, buyer-paid shipping and tax) plus $0.30.

The buyer pays shipping to Whatnot and you print a prepaid label, so shipping isn't income or a cost for you. High-volume sellers can earn lower commission rates, and Whatnot sometimes runs limited-time promotions, such as no commission on the part of a high-value order above $1,500.
