How Etsy fees work

Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee for each listing, and again when an item sells from a multi-quantity listing or the listing renews.

The transaction fee is 6.5% of the item price plus the shipping and gift wrap you charge. For US sellers it isn't charged on sales tax.

Payment processing for US sellers is 3% of the total sale price, including shipping and sales tax, plus $0.25. Optional Offsite Ads fees aren't included in this calculator.

Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?

Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee and the payment processing fee both include the shipping you charge. Processing also includes sales tax.
